While 2009 was arguably the legal industry’s worst year in the last half-century, job statistics for February show improvement for lawyers and other legal workers battered by the bad economy. Last month, the legal sector lost only 100 jobs, the Am Law Daily reports, compared to 1,100 jobs in January, 2,100 in December, 2,900 in November, and 5,800 in October, according to seasonally adjusted figures by the Bureau of Labor Statistics .
