Social Workers Deserve Better Leadership Monday, March 8th, 2010

The NSPCC have called for legislation empowering social workers to see children without their parents present. They believe this would enable social workers to identify victims of abuse more easily, without the parents being able to pull the wool over their eyes. However, the social workers, Unison, and the British Association of Social Workers oppose the move, saying that the powers already exist and that further legislation is unnecessary.

Skeletal pain has a significant impact on the ability to work, it costs society 7bn per year and has a most debilitating impact on the lives of sufferers. For several years, Touro Law students have made two or three trips a year to New Orleans as part of the Student Hurricane Network (now the Student Disaster Relief Network) to help Katrina victims.
